BECKETT - Beckett + 5 [AOR Heaven Classix] (2011)

BECKETT - Beckett + 5 [AOR Heaven Classix] (2011)

*

AOR, Melodic Rock and Westcoast fans love Peter Beckett for his works with Player (who had a #1 hit with 'Baby Come Back'), Think Out Loud and the Little River Band, but many still also love him for his self-titled 1991 solo album.

“Beckett” was recorded in two parts and in two locations. Half of the album was done at Dennis Lambert’s studio with Lambert producing, the other half was done at David J. Holman’s studio with Holman and Beckett co-producing.
We’re now twenty years further down the lane and I still enjoy listening to ‘golden’ songs like the opener “I Told You So”, a rocker like a mixture of House Of Lords with Robert Tepper, the beautiful melodies and keyboards of “My Religion” or the supreme atmosphere of “Hangin’ By A Thread”.
All are winners; “Still Of The Night” is an enormous classic AOR gem, “Not A Day Goes By” has a haunting melody and “How Can The Girl Refuse” is a fun rocker similar to Rick Springfield.

Thanks to labels such as Rock Candy, AOR Heaven and YesterRock, AOR and Melodic Rock fans can easily find re-issues of so called classic albums in their beloved genres.
This re-issue of “Beckett” by AOR Heaven Classix series is another jewel to own. Apart from being remastered, to make it even more interesting, this reissue comes with no less than 5 tracks recorded in the same period.
Don’t hesitate to purchase it asap, it's a very limited edition.
Essential. A Must Have.
